My main interest in this is what will MLB do in the future, is this a one-off perfect storm where they felt the need to intervene or will they continue to use their significant financial and PR power in other situations?

Probably affected by the protests.
Hearing Red Sox-Twins postponed due to "safety reasons." Trying to get more details.
The broadcast still has no idea what's going on...but that has to be why.

One of my biggest sports pet peeves. Replays don't just slow down games, they stall momentum and disrupt the rhythm of the game. I'm still for it because getting the call right is ultimately more important. These replays where they still get it wrong are beyond maddening.
This is why I am against replay.
While I know it is not going away, I believe that it should only be used for fair/foul and home run calls.
I think replay sucks the soul and personality ( little arguing or working of umpires) out of the game.

It will inevitably be ruined when someone throws a 7 inning perfect game in a double header. Or how about when a guy is perfect through 7 but it’s 0-0 and it goes to the 8th, in the middle of a perfect game we’re gonna put a man on 2nd now and make you pitch from the stretch for the first time all game.
Sorry not sorry. The new rules suck. Makes as much sense as a 17th game in football. I hate that after he made it through 7, one of my first thoughts was “bet he wished it was a double header”.

Last Oriole no-hitter by single pitcher was Cakes and 1969
I will always remember the multiple pitcher no hitter that got tossed in Oakland. I was listening on the radio to that game. Amazing what Milacki, Flanny, Williamson and Olson did. Milacki was not even scheduled to start that game.
Sadly that was the last no-hitter by this club, and I suspect half of BSL was not even born there.
I know Moose came close a few times.
