That's easily the worst drop I've ever seen, given the circumstances and the easiness. Absolutely unreal.

Wow, amazing. I'm just following on Gameday, was that a can of corn or a tough play?

This has been a crazy game so far.

Mackus, can of corn. No reason he should have dropped that one.

Wash was not very happy with Hamilton... can't blame him.

Regarding that fly ball - it definitely looks like the wind impacted it a bit... but Hamilton was way too nonchalant about, IMO. There's just no good reason at all he should have dropped that.

Another run makes it 8-5 Oakland headed to the top of the 6th inning.

Solo homer from Norris extends Oakland's lead to 9-5 in the bottom of the 8th. Three more outs to go for the Western Division Championship for the Athletics. Hard to believe.

God, the Rangers are playing a terrible game today.

Joe Sheehan said on Twitter that, without the new rules, the Rangers are the 2011 Red Sox. I don't think he's wrong.

12-5 now. Goes without saying, but I'd much rather face Texas.

I've always been an Oakland fan (except for whenever they continually kick our asses). If they were in the NL, I'd love them. This is damn exciting.

That said, the Rangers are absolutely falling apart. Famous last words.

5 game lead with 9 games left..and you lose the division? Horrible.

Orioles have struggled vs Texas but are they just shell shocked right now?

Not the same Oriole team... or the same Ranger team...

It certainly looks that way. They looked absolutely horrible.

Ranges are still way more talented..it's really not close.

But the Orioles are playing better and have more momentum.

That really is true. Really bad collapse these last few weeks.

C'mon O's, I don't want to go to Arlington.

Me either, even though our boy Lance would be able to see the O's in a playoff game live... I still want to avoid that at all costs.

Hopefully Ray Lewis and the Boston Red Sox had some face time today before the game started. I think he's the only one on the planet who could get them motivated enough to win tonight.

Just as I thought, no way the yanks were losing tonight. Really sucks.

O's aren't holding up their end of the bargain either though. But you're right, I didn't think BOS could win tonight. Not sending Daisuke and facing Kuroda.
