Lia Tagovailoa cut by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats days before training camp was to start.  His (now) former coach?  Fellow Terps QB Scott Milanovich.

He’s now signed with the Hamburg Sea Devils of the European League of Football (ELF). Their season began last weekend, and the league consists of teams from nine different countries.

He needs to sign with Birmingham in the UFL.  Skip Holtz has done a great job with QBs in that league.  He won back-to-back-to-back championships with three different QBs, with the last two being named league MVP and then getting signed by NFL teams.

Tagovailoa has been cut by the Sea Devils, and will return home to Hawaii for "family reasons".

Former Maryland DB Dennard Wilson has been named as the new defensive coordinator for the New York Giants under head coach John Harbaugh. He’d spent the last two years as the Tennessee Titans’ defensive coordinator, and served as Harbaugh’s defensive backs coach in Baltimore three seasons ago.

Former Maryland QB Frank Reich has been named as the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets. He served as the interim head coach at Stanford last season, with his most recent NFL job being a one-year stint as the head coach of the Carolina Panthers in 2023.

Big fan of Frank, wish he could get some better jobs.  Think he can do big things in the right situation.  Not sure the Jets are the right one, but glad he's getting another shot and hope he does well.
