They may still race...but there won't be people there watching it.
All good with that.

The Derby is still a month and a half away...a lot can change before then.
Hopefully life returns to normal by then.

That sucks.
Glad he's not gonna be put down.
He will spend the rest of his days living the life and getting mares pregnant.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

He won the Arkansas Derby on what was supposed to be Kentucky Derby day. Does that count?
What a shame, he was a damn monster!
Here's to a long, successful stud career!

And the dream is over..
Is there something wrong with the Santa Anita track? Isn't where that HBO series was filmed, which they had to cancel because too many horses were getting hurt?

Victor Martinez very emotional as his horse developed a fever and they had to scratch him. Heartbreaking to see. Said he's dreamt of having a Derby horse for years. Sucks!!
It's always fun when a "stick and ball sports" personality gets involved in Horse Racing. Victor was really enjoying King Guillermo's success. Rashard Lewis says to this day the most nervous he's ever been in sports is when his horse ran in the Derby years ago.
Damn.
