Maryland heads on the road this weekend to face #3 Ohio State in Columbus, OH. The Buckeyes are currently 8-0 (5-0) and are favored by over 40 points in this game. They are coming off of a bye last week, and will enjoy a two-game stretch of Maryland and Rutgers before finishing the season against Penn State and Michigan.

Wins: Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin

Losses: None

Something tells me this will not be as exciting as last year's OSU game. Just a hunch.

Mike Locksley says that starting RG Terrance Davis re-aggravated his knee injury and will likely sit out the remainder of the season and redshirt so that he can play in 2020.

He also hasn't named a starting QB, noting that both Josh Jackson and Tyrrell Pigrome are taking first-team reps this week.

Ohio State DE Chase Young will not be playing in this game. The school is looking into a possible 2018 NCAA issue.

Had to decide whether to stay home and watch the game or go see the movie Midway.  I know how they both are going to end, but the movie has pop corn.

3 and out for md on the first drive, Ohio State scores with little resistance. If they wanted to they could win by 100

Remember when they smoked Syracuse and we thought they could be a decent team? Yeah, me neither.

OSU with 6 possessions and 6 TDs.  I think the MD offense had 3 first downs, one of which was due to a OSU penalty.  Outclassed in every way imaginable.  Even Gus Johnson is bored.

It's just annoying.

They put 50 on this Ohio State team last year.

That they've been this inept again this year, is just horrible.

Crushing recruiting, crushing interest, crushing hope.

Back to the drawing board.

I don’t expect Maryland to ever compete for a National Title, Big Ten title, or be a consistent top 25 team, but it would be nice to be able to make consistent low tier bowls and maybe surprise have a surprise season every now and then where knock off a top opponent or two.

They’re consistently outclassed in every aspect of the game on a weekly basis.

I guess I’m a fair weather fan, though..... I haven’t really had much interest in Terp football since the Fridge was coaching.

To be fair, they have been the only team to shut down Chase Young.

Just don't really know where you go from here.  Any recruit who watches this team can see how poorly prepared and coached they are every week.  I think we all know you can't move on from Locksley.  I guess you probably try moving on from at least the D-coordinator and probably the O-coordinator and start over, but that's not going to change anything.  So we basically look to have terrible teams for the next 3-4 years until we can move on from Locksley and try starting over again.

Can't move on from Lox, but definitely have to reinvest in his coaching staff.

Every Big Ten opponent is generating and spending more money than MD on their program.

MD is going to have find money, spend more.... and hope to close the gaps where possible.

2020 class is going to be meh unless Lox pulls a rabbit or two (or some grad transfers)...   but the 2021 class needs to hit.
Playing time, playing time, stay local...

And the program's #1 donor just stepped down from his CEO position as his company is under federal investigation for accounting fraud. Ain't life grand?
