Maryland opens as a 2-point favorite. Purdue is without starting QB Elijah Sindelar and WR Rondale Moore, among a number of others. Injuries have killed them so far this season. Redshirt freshman Jack Plummer is expected to start behind center, as he did this weekend against Penn State. The Nittany Lions sacked the Boilermakers' quarterbacks 10 times in that game.

I had this as a likely loss before the season, but it's been a tough season so far for Purdue. I like the Terps chances much more now to steal a win.

It's a game MD has to win.

I agree...a must win for the Terps to continue to improve their record.

Pigrome is expected to start, but Jackson is day-to-day and could be healthy enough to play in this game.

That sounds ideal. Hopefully Piggy plays the whole game, and Jackson gets a week of rest... but is available if need be.

Jackson has been very unimpressive to me. The O-line has been bad but he's made it look bad as well. Don't know what Pigrome has to do to get a decent run as the starter.

Sounds like Marcus Minor and Johnny Jordan have returned to practice this week. Great news for a banged up offensive line to get two starters back.
Also, Shaq Smith said the defense is preparing as if Purdue WR Rondale Moore will be active for the game.

Followed by a backwards pass... MD loses 16 yards on the play. 3rd and 33. Great.
