Surprised Luis Ortiz is there, I dropped him from my top 30. Thought Rom would be higher.

Good stuff although McKenna is way too high.

What Rob meant to say is that you are lazy and a poor evaluator of talent.
BSL EDIT: (Rob argued in a previous thread 'nobody' would have McKenna ranked high.)
What Rob actually said was....
Anyone (or any site) ranking him in the top 10 are just being lazy at this point.
And anyone who puts validity into that is also being lazy...and is a poor evaluator of talent.
mlb.com also had McKenna at #13 in their updated rankings.
Thank goodness nobody had him higher because Rob has decreed that would put them in 'moron' status.

McKenna did enough offensively at Frederick and the AFL when combined with his defense, and age for me to have some hope for him.
An elite defensive player has value. Would like to see the Eastern League production be better.
Zimmermann did enough for me this year at AA that he'd be in my Top 30.
For him not to be included, it is a pretty good marker of the overall strength of the system.

I think the O's are in pretty good shape overall, if you get 2 ML starters out of Akin, Kremer, Bauman, Lowther, Wells, and Zimmerman.
At the minimum, you're going to have extended pen options in the near-term.
Upside only so much with that group... but just basic competency / league average 4ths or 5ths would make a difference.
Obviously you'll need Rodriguez and Hall to emerge '21 on at the front of the staff.

At least Adam actually sees him.
That being said, I stand by my comments. No way he is a top 10 guy.

I enjoyed reading those articles. But I do have a question.
Just what does the risk rating equate too? I am assuming it means the higher the risk the less likely they actually pan out? I just find the rankings a bit odd. Of the top 15 players there are 9 rated as high risk, 5 rated as extreme risk, and one rated at moderate risk. Guess I don't follow that logic. Doesn't seem to make sense that the highest rated player in the O's organization is a high risk? Or that only one player is rated moderate which to me seems to indicate they are pretty likely to make the big club.
So what's the explanation?

Luke Siler has McKenna 13th on his list.
His reasoning is plus defense and speed. Doesn't expect him to hit much.
4th OFer type guy.
