Decision is made! I'm gone!

WNST just confirmed that he's no longer a Raven.

Wow! Unless Ozzie has something cooking, I'm genuinely worried about the state of our OL.

Now this is bad news!

Even if you bring in someone, they don't know the offense.

I really hope this doesn't mean Oher goes to LT! Ugh.

Osemele to RT and Oher to LT? Bobby Williams starts?

That downgrades 3 positions with one move.

Really bad if that's the case.

Really dont get why this wasn't done sooner if the contract value is an issue.

You could've released him weeks ago and brought in someone else so they could learn the offense.

Jeff Z just tweeted that, currently, the Ravens are saying they haven't let him go. Maybe they're trying to restructure his deal.

I wonder if part of this is due to McKinnie having half of his net compensation withheld from the Ravens to pay back his "loan" he took during the lockout? Something just does not seem right that it's happening this close to the season opener.

Per the report, the lawsuit was settled on July 17. The agreement provides that Pro Player Funding will receive half of the net on McKinnie’s $3.2 million salary, and half of any future earnings from the Ravens.

The lending company will undertake no other effort to enforce or collect the money.

It’s unclear whether, if McKinnie is cut and signs with the new team, the garnishment obligation will continue.

If that’s the case, it could explain why McKinnie was three days late to training camp. If he could have gotten the Ravens to cut him and if he could sign with a new team and owe the lending agency nothing, McKinnie could have potentially come out ahead elsewhere.

BTw, Zrebiec is reporting that this likely would be the Oline if McKinnie is gone.

Oher to LT? Your post is confusing as it has two RT's.

I don't think Oher at LT will be as bad as others. Either way, no huddle is more important than ever.

I was never a huge McKinnie fan as it were, but I'd much rather KO be at LG than Williams.

Yea sorry...Oher to LT.

McKinnie is average or so at LT but clearly better than Oher.

Bobby Williams doesn't look good at all.

KO could probably be ok at RT and is the reason you don't re-sign Oher when the time comes.

A little more from A Wilson:

Half of Bryant McKinnie's $3.2 million base salary already set to be garnished due to $4.5 million lockout loan lawsuit. Fluid situation

For the aforementioned reasons, this would be horrible. You hurt multiple positions, and doing this on the eve of the season would be poor. Glad to see it is not yet official, and am hoping whatever issues at play here are resolved.

Bryant McKinnie is willing to accept some cut in pay from $3.2 million, per a source, but not a 50-percent reduction.

Stop arguing over a few 100k and keep him here. You are trying to win a SB.

This is just absurd. Release McKinnie and the OL might be OK w/Oher LT, Williams LG, Birk C, Yanda RG, Osemele RT. But an injury to any one of those guys would be devastating.

If it does happen, did anyone get cut over the weekend that might be of some help?

Wonder if this would have anything to do with the fact that if a guy is on your 53 as of the first game of the year, their whole salary is guaranteed and if he's not, and then signed week 2, his salary is not guaranteed...could that play a part in this lawsuit McKinnie is facing??

I wondered this as well but the fact that this isn't being reported by anyone, I tend to think this isn't the case.

McKinnie restructure talks are ongoing, per a league source, still a chance this gets resolved with him staying, but nothing is concrete yet

Definitely feels like a wait and see kind of thing. Any loss of depth hurts this team. And it Reid/Harewood don't look ready, so even though I'm not a McKinnie fan (I think he's a meat head, doesn't work hard, and is a distraction) this team needs him more than they don't right now.

Bummed to see McNeil retired and couldn't get back on the field a few weeks ago. I was still holding out hope he could come back and we'd nab him.
