Ohio State escapes MD with a 52-51 OT win.  It's disappointing that Maryland was not able to finish with a victory.... but the Terps should be proud of the performance.

The stars lined up for us for a victory and we gave it away.  We played very well for most of the game and I can't take that away from them.  But the end of the 4th quarter where we shot our selves in the foot, and going for it in OT with the 2 pt conversion and missing a wide open throw for the win killed us.  Heavily disappointing way to end the game.

Wish I cared more. Ohio State is vastly overrated getting blown out by Purdue, and even letting MD in this game. And Maryland, just isn’t good at this anyway. Combine all the dysfunction, I really don’t care.

Normally I would have have this on the DVR and avoid the radio and all until I could watch later at night. Or watch until the blowout at the end of the 1st quarter that MD usually faces against this type of opponent.

I can see the argument for OSU being 'overrated', but that's not really the point.

They've got 5 stars all over the place... a Heisman candidate at QB who spurned MD.... a HOF HC....

If they are overrated, it's only in-terms of discussion for being a true National contender this year.

They are a blue blood.

It's been said that even before all of the issues this year, that MD could never compete against these teams.

Today was a reminder that MD has added talent to their roster the last few years, the depth has improved... and with everything which has gone on this year, they were mentally ready to show up and compete today.

That is something, especially when you remember these aren't pros.

Had MD completed the game, it might have been their most important win as a program ever.

Since they didn't, it's disappointing... but it does show you can get to a point where you can be competitive.

Canada should get credit for the kids being ready to play.

And then looking ahead, it gets back to recruiting.  You had back-to-back high quality classes.  This '19 class is currently a disaster.  Figure out the HC situation, and go get some kids.

Show them the Texas game. Show them today. And have the vision of what you could be.

At least I know they could beat Penn State- Penn State beat Rutgers by 13- Hopefully Maryland closes one out and becomes bowl eligible.

If we’re talking post-Fridge era, depends on how this Texas team finishes, and how Ohio State finishes. Texas might even be the better team of the two.

Even Edsall had wins @Michigan and @Penn State in their down years. If Ohio State trends down this goes down as nothing much like those did.

This, 100%. Wish the players had gotten the gratification of pulling it off, but either way, an incredibly gutsy game.
