When I lived in SoCal I saw the O's play at Anaheim in 1994, about a month before the strike ended the season. Bo Jackson played for the Angels, several years after the hip injury robbed him of much of his athleticism. But dude could still hit. The O's won the game by a huge margin, but what I remember most was Bo hitting an absolute blast into the seats in deep CF (that was before the stadium got the big remodel). When it comes to just pure athletes, I don't think there have been many who were better than him before that injury.
