Dmass has been playing such a weak schedule for years. They are decent team but definitely overrated. Maryland should look at combining some of these state tourneys. Some of these teams are pretty weak that are still playing for regional and state titles. Maryland is too small of a state to have all these divisions.

Yep, Frankiin, Dundalk and Gwynn Park have no right playing in the State Finals. 😉

What does it have to do with their rights to play. Maryland has 160 public schools approximately. Then divide that into 4 divisions and it’s watered down. Dundalk is ok team but not a contender and got hammered by a quality team. New Town and Eastern are weak teams. Etc, Etc. Go to Ohio, PA, VA, NJ, and many more and their state tournament process is much more competitive. Lots of weak teams in Maryland playoffs. Should combine 3a-4A and 1a-2a and have 2 state tournaments vs 4. Then you back out all the privates and you have done weak State Champions.

1A and 2A should play in a final and 3A should play 4A in a final after their Class championships. It should be a small school and big school championship.

I have always been told that County Sports Zone is the official site for reporting scores. So I guess Eastern Tech did beat New Town. I am upset their score as of now is not noted in the Baltimore Sun. And I am even MORE PISSED they BARELY mentioned Mervo's BIG win at Paint Branch!
