Was able to go to a number of Opening Days.... one favorite was '92 and the opening of OPACY.

Another favorite Opening Day though was one I didn't go to...   1989, and the O's beating Boston.
I'd love to feel that way as a fan again.

2014 may actually have been my favorite.

I don't actually recall any memories, because I am usually too shit faced to remember what happened :)

The snow game is probably my favorite.  I was in the Upper Left Field seats and it was cold as shit but my wife, at the time, and I stayed for every moment.  The crowd, though not capacity, was raucous that day.  Very fun, but damn cold.

1989 was awesome. A palate cleanser after 1988 (Happy 30th anniversary, BTW).

Aside from that I don't remember too much about OD's. Last year's OD game was kinda fun.

Here are some random memories:

2002 vs Yankees where Tony Batista hit a grand slam.
2004 vs Boston on Sunday Night Baseball where we beat Pedro. They won the WS though, and we finished with 78 wins.
2012 vs Twins, OD didn't feel much different but when we swept them to start the season and Hammel had a no hitter late into the 3rd game (think it was Easter that day) I could feel something different in the air.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

2009

Drunk, obviously.

Hanging out in the flag court. Was Mark Texiera's first game here as a Yankee and everyone just raining drunken boos and F-bombs down on him. Don't think he did anything of note. Of all people, Cesar Izturis hit a home run off CC Sabathia. The Os actually smoked Sabathia, probably the only time ever, won the game 10-3 I think.

I was there, too. I remember he'd already blown a couple games in Tampa before the home opener, and got booed coming out for the ninth. Then he REALLY got booed after he blew that game. Ugh.

I did get a really nice picture of Tejada right as he hit a home run, so it wasn't a complete waste on my end.

One of my favorites still the Miggy/Javy/Palmeiro Opening Night verse Boston... beat Pedro that night. Very cold. Loved that team. Was a big Matos and Bigbie fan too.

That team should have been much better. Maybe if they'd gotten a solid SP at the deadline they would have done something. That rotation was Godawful.

I watched that from work, and they just let the boos sit there, IIRC. It was surreal.

I remember he got booed at the INTRO (I was at the flag court), and we got a bunch of people looking at us like, "WTF, why are you booing him? Give him a shot!"

They were booing at him after the top of the ninth, as well.

Didn't mean to delete my post Sean quoted.

I was going to add, I was 19 that summer. Still enjoyed that team a ton, loved Mora, Miggy became a favorite of mine too very quickly. Just a fun team. With awful pitching.

1989 was great - that's the first one I thought of.  Was it 1990 or 1991 where Sam Horn hit two homers?

'89 for me for sure. My Senior year of High School, a bunch of us just left and headed to Memorial Stadium without tickets and ended up overpaying for great seats, and it was worth every penny. Great memories.

The first game ever at OPACY was great -- I was 10 so a little too young to fully appreciate it, but I do remember being there.

Don't see how any Orioles fan could think that.
