With the announcement today of the return of the XFL (whether it will work or fail is another discussion), McMahon made some mentions of radical changes to the game they would explore while still keeping it football.

Some things apparently on the table are no halftime. Less, or shorter commercial breaks. Getting game time down to about 2 hours. Players would be 52 week employees, paid in the offseason to engage in their communities.

Controversial takes are not giving players the forum to protest. Not employing anyone with a criminal record. Details of how these will work remain to be seen. If the players don't have a union, and they get paid out of McMahons pockets...well, we'll see.

Anyway. Since radical changes to the game we all know are on the table for one league, what are some radical changes you would like to see in the NFL. The league that isn't going anywhere and while failing, is still booming.

I've said in the other thread that a common sense approach to catches, "football moves". Getting rid of illegal contact. Going back to two a day practices.

I think we can all agree on less and shorter commercial breaks. Even if they have to plaster an M&T Bank patch on the chest of the Ravens jerseys.
