Not as much trading as I thought we would see.

People were predicting a lot, but I think that with so few teams having cap space that leads to fewer trades. Not as much room to maneuver and teams want to hang on to cost-controlled players. That huge cap jump in 2016 really messed things up from a management standpoint, I think.

Denver seems a nice fit for Porter. If healthy he could be a steal. Nuggets were somewhat disappointing last season, but they should be pretty interesting.

Either a home run or a dud.

It’s a good risk to take at this point.

Oh my. If Woj is right, Wizards fans are not going to be happy.

....and he was right. Brown got a lot of play out here, both because of his college and that he was a possible Blazers target at #24. People here were lukewarm about him at that spot. At #15? Ouch.

Grunfeld gonna Grunfeld.

Suns are sending Z. Smith, who they just picked, to Philly for Bridges. Philly gets a 2021 pick from Miami (I guess from the Dragic trade) too.

Ugh...Mikal Bridges doesn’t get to stay in Philly...but Phoenix getting Bridges is great for them.

Kevin Huerter to the Hawks at 19.

The kid made the right move.

Still can’t believe how much Huerter’s draft stock improved.

Wonder if ATL is the team that promised him they'd take him, or if it was someone later? (He was connected to the Lakers at #25)

You almost have to. You'd get a really bad rep if you made a promise like that and went back on it. I'm sure it's happened a few times, but the only time I can think of off the top of my head was Doc Rivers, and that was way back in the early 80's.

If they did they would have seen a good player with a good upside.

Good for the kid.

Agreed, especially late in the first round. The money difference is significant.

According to a friend of a friend, they've known this for a while now, pretty early in the workout process.

And now Quin Snyder is taking Grayson Allen because of course he is.
