I'm going Friday after work. There's only one other seat taken right now.
I like parts of Jedi and Skywalker, I just felt they were messy overall and disappointing because I did really enjoy TFA. The sequels were always going to get more harshly judged by me though; they should've done Thrawn on the big screen.

Man a lot of people HATE Rise of Skywalker. I thought it was good
Yeah it’s a convoluted mess. More like a 2.5 hour trailer than a movie the way it was edited. And the emperor shit was stupid.

Actually I'd move Solo up to 7 on my rankings. I just watched it again; it was better than I remembered on the first watch.

It's weird I had the same experience, in the theaters was completely underwhelmed, upon rewatching...it's actually pretty good!

And I’m the one with weird takes?
It was a mess plain and simple.

Watched the Lego holiday special and it was super cute, definitely a fun use of about 45 minutes

Not entirely sure how Hayden as Darth Vader will work unless his voice suddenly sounds remarkably like James Earl Jones

All those spinoffs and new series and nary a mention of Han Solo. Tells you what Disney thought of that movie...

I kinda feel like if they are going to do these feature length missing gap movies, they need to be a one-off. Having Solo get a whole trilogy to himself feels like a disservice to the meat and potatoes saga. But doing a prequel or a spin off movie to flesh out backstory or whatever in a one movie thing I like. That, Rogue One, you could do a couple others like that, but now with the Disney Plus platform that seems like an even better fit. But the storylines where you don't have much to say cause it fits between a and b would be better in a short 2 hour segment instead of a 8-13 episode season.

My two major takes are
1. The Force Awakens is the most fun of the movies to watch. Not the best, not the most well-made but just in terms of getting enjoyment from two hours of your time, it's #1 for me.
2. Rogue One is a good movie but it's hard to feel any emotional attachment to characters that are one-and-done compared to characters that were in one or more of the trilogies. Couldn't find the energy to really care about Jyn Erso compared to Rey or whoever.

The Bad Batch is fine so far, but it's not grabbing me the way Rebels or the later seasons of Clone Wars did.
