He's got zero arm.   Does get rid of it quickly.

Has to be something going on.... is really not healthy?  They floated that he hasn't learned the playbook..... if that is true, why was he the leader to begin with?

Not buying that at all.

This program has taken a step backward this season, and it has nothing to do with the QB situation. They are horrible on both lines. 4 seasons in the Big Ten and they are no closer to competing in the trenches in this conference than they were when they began. They've even fallen behind Rutgers now. Pitiful.

Run blocking is good.  Pass blocking isn't.

Dline... all of the talent is chained to the bench.   Play them.

Being on to the 5th QB of the year is horrible....   but not being able to slow the Rutgers running game (them running, you know they are running, and you can't slow them) is worse.

The run-blocking really isn't as good as the numbers indicate. The yardage totals are more due to having RBs that can rip off big runs once they get to the next level. The line is too inconsistent. Take out the big plays, the OL can't sustain 10-play drives like we saw Rutgers do to the Terps today.

It's really frustrating because if the recruiting services are to be believed these guys should be pretty good. Either they are getting poor coaching or they are unlucky and have a lot of highly-rated guys who are just busts when they get to college.

I think it's a little hard to fully evaluate the O-line, due to the QBs.  If MD actually had a more consistent passing attack, that would change the way defenses play MD.

Just the threat would change how defenses play MD.  As is,  defenses get to gear up to take away the run... and if they can do that (making MD essentially 0 dimensional); they can pin their ears back and go after the QB (even easier when you don't have someone that moves well back there).

FWIW, it was mentioned in the Indiana game that Derwin Gray was the 'most improved' lineman in the conference, playing at a near all-conference level. Just 1 guy, and don't know how accurate that perception is...

Whatever. I'm frustrated.  Needed this game.

Gray also had the holding penalty that wiped out the game-tying TD.

What happened to Henderson? Was he hurt, or did Brand pass him on the depth chart? If he passed him, that's crazy considering in the Spring we thought Henderson would start until Hill was ready to take over. Oh how things change...
