Interesting article - earlier in the season it was the Red Sox and then the Orioles #1 and #2 with the impact injuries were having on contending teams.
It's interesting that SI lists the O's risk as being high where the Yanks risk as just medium. I know the Yanks are deeper and far more talented than the most teams, but their loss of Sabathia (for now) and Pettitte have put their rotation in a real mess. I could see the Yanks making a first round exit (not the WC round) if their rotation doesn't include CC or Pettitte.
However, I do feel that the return of Hammel will have a greater/more positive impact on the O's than the return of Pettitte to the Yankees will.
