I was kind of wondering when we would begin talking about this. I think I'd wait til the offseason, unless he doesn't really care about a hard negoitation and give him another year or two (not sure if he has an option to pick-up or not, if that's the case, pick the damn thing up and maybe give him some extra $ as a sign of appreciation for this season).

I would have to think if he wants to stay it will happen. He has definitely changed the Orioles in a very positive way.

No, don't give him an extension. The Diamondbacks won a World Series after he left. Maybe it would work here, too.

Seriously though, I'd say give him the extension. The team is starting to play well under Buck. The Orioles have had a string of managers that didn't turn out well.

I thought you were serious at first. Don't forget about the Yankees in 96. I remember the running jokes was when the Rangers hired him that they should just fire him(well it took them a few years after that for the success they've had).
