Last night No Farrah won his 5rh consecutive championship (world's and Olympic) in the 10,000. This was a whale of a race as half the field was hanging up on Mo simply to try and keep him from winning. Farrah wasn't having it and still left him in the dust on the home stretch!

Kind of annoying to me that he lost to Gatlin in his final race. Never been a fan of Gatlin. I remember reading a big SI piece on him years back after his first doping ban, talking about how important it was that he stayed clean for the image of the sport, and then less than a year later he got popped for the 2nd time.
I'm sure Bolt's probably dirty too, but there's little question who was the more talented runner. I'll be interested to see how long Bolt's 100m record stands - difficult to envision anyone touching it anytime soon.

What was the point of Bolt competing in the World Championships? Meaning if he wasn't looking to continue his Olympics career; why not end on top?

The World Championships are a pretty big deal for Track &Field. Prior to the 80s, there was only the Olympics. With that being only every 4 years some athletes only had a small window where they were at their peak. The WCs gave the athletes an opportunity to shine on an almost as big a stage.
