FG suggests Cabrera will get 5 years at $45-$60M. Would you have interest in him at that price?

No interest in Melky. I know he's hit well the last couple years, but I don't expect that to be an ongoing trend.
I think we'll only have about $15-20M to add to payroll this offseason. No way is Melky Cabrera at $9-12M per year a good use of that flexibility.

I agree with this, though I'm reserving right to change course if we strike out on adding help at other positions and a solid LF is still available in FA.LJ Hoes could very well match Cabrera's production over the next 5 years. Other than chasing Hamilton or potentially a Justin Upton in a trade the O's need to stay in house for LF and focus on other positions this offseason
Also, if Machado looks good enough to where you can be confident he'll make the OD roster, then you either don't need to focus on 3B or you can go sign/trade for a 3B (Headley!) and deal away Hardy to recoup some of the talent you give up for the 3B. Or you could keep all 3 guys and have either Machado or Hardy at 2B to start the year assuming Roberts is not an option, then if he comes back and shows he's an asset, you make a trade then.
I'd prefer to spend a large chunk of our available cash for the offseason on as good of a starting pitcher as we can attract. If we spend nearly every cent on Greinke, I'm fine with that. If we can't get him but can get Anibal Sanchez, that works too, and gives us a bit extra cash leftover to go get help in LF or 2B or 3B or wherever we can find it.

Call me a traitor, but I think Nick Swisher, if he doesn't command a ridiculous salary, could be a great fit for the Orioles. Always has a good OBP and SLG. Good for an OPS of over .800 every year. Could play LF, RF, 1B, or just DH. I'd give him around 3 years/$24 million. Maybe even 3 years/$30 million.

I'd definitely be interested in him. I worry about his defense in LF, but he has been perfectly adequate in RF so maybe it's not a big issue. I wouldn't like giving up a draft pick for him, though, and I could see the Yankees putting in a qualifying offer ($12M I think) that would make him cost us that pick.

Also forgot about the draft pick. Would it be a first rounder?

The first 15 picks are protected, then you'd give up a 2nd rounder. We're pretty likely to not be choosing in the top 15 for the first time in a very long time.

The new rules have the first 10 picks protected, not 15.Hopefully.

I have always been a Swisher fan...I wanted us to trade for him when NY picked him up from the WS.
Always hits well in OPACY.

Hopefully the Yankees don't offer him arbitration.

Buster reported about a week ago that the number is going to be closer to $13.5 - $14 Million.
In that case, no way Swish gets a qualifying offer. It might only be Hamilton & Bourn...

Cabrera is only 27 and, by all accounts, has dedicated himself to his craft. His early career struggles have been attributed to a poor diet, boozing, and hanging out with the wrong crowd. None of which are still an issue.
I'd do it.
Lol.
Yeah, I know she's had a few hiccups and made a few bad decisions in the past - plus I'd probably get punched in the face by her crazy ex-bf who's also fresh out of the pen. But she's super hot.
I'd do her.
(Is this what you meant?)

Man, if there were any way possible we could get Bourn...

I think he'll settle in as a good leftfielder, but between his age 27 season and his extreme BABIP (80 points above his career average including this year) I have a feeling we're seeing his very best right now, and won't see it again.
