Tim has been great to this site....  he also was the first speaker for my networking group...  a remarkable man, that is easy to respect.

Having a bad day? Challenged in life, and want to give up? Read this for perspective.

Some sad news, as Tim passed away at the age of 49 yesterday after a battle with cancer.

IMS: Tim Strachan, former Maryland broadcaster who turned tragedy into success, passes away at 49

When he graduated from DeMatha, he was the 2nd rated QB in his class behind Peyton Manning.

Dove into the ocean and became paralyzed.

Penn State pulled his scholarship.
Maryland kept it.
22 years in the booth.

Great man.
RIP.

Real sad to hear this news.

Didn't know him personally at all but from the outside seemed like he made the most of a terrible circumstance.
