I can forgive the sloppiness and the bad shooting from the opener, especially given how much run the freshman got. I'd like to see less compeltely unforced mistakes, like Huerter throwing passes directly to the defender guarding him multiple times, that's just careless.
The thing that bothered me the most was the pace. And that's largely on Turgeon. We slowed things down like we were a inside out team that tries to pound it into the bigs. That worked last year, when we had assets inside, but we have both lack of depth and lack of any offensive threats inside the lane this year. Need to push the tempo, not necessarily press but just move things quickly. Should be rare that we walk the ball up the court and pass around the key until the shot clock is under 10. Quick passes and dribble penetration are gonna be the keys for us scoring consistently. We've got the guys to do that, but we didn't seem to try very often against American.

Makes sense. I'm perfectly OK with this. In fact, I'd be fine not being ranked until this team figures some things out. And by this team, I mean Turgeon.

Really looking forward to this game and the Wisconsin-Creighton game tomorrow night.
And of course, the two marquee games with Duke-KU and UK-Mich St.

No better way to watch a game. I pretty much have to do this with everything these days but I love it. Except for baseball, I don't know how people watch a baseball game recorded.
Anyway, regarding tonight's game. My prediction? Pain.

Me too. Got to hate when an anniversary gets in the way of Sports.

You should have gotten married the day after the MLB all star game.

Gus Johnson on the call. It's gonna be an amazing game with an amazing finish. And if it isn't, it'll sound like it anyway.

6:30 game in D.C. I guess
Maybe all the hype of this rivalry renewed last year was on MDs side more than GTown. College Park was rocking. Oh well.

2 fouls on Gill... not 2 minutes. No Ceko tonight either.

MD's dealing with the GTown press... 3rd turnover, that one on Melo.
