I noticed the phrase 'stab in his delivery' a couple times. Can you articulate what you mean by that?

Pitching arm reaches down his push off leg before/during throwing motion (See Edison Volquez)

Ok got it thanks. Almost looks like he's reaching down to scratch his knee before he throws.

Peralta in this piece has been named Minor league pitcher of the month for July! He is 3-0 with a 2.57 era in 21 innings. He was a beast this month and looks to be moving up the prospect list.
