Obviously the timetable on Curry and Paul and how effective they'll be when/if they come back is paramount, but assuming that the Warriors are able to win the second round (which should happen unless this Paul injury is a lot less serious than expected) and Curry is healthy by the WCF's, they should still be the prohibitive favorite.

 

If this Curry injury screws up their shot at winning, well that makes the path easier for the Spurs, and they would be the favorite.

Westgate LV SuperBook seems to concur with most here. In the last 48 hours GS has gone from the favorite to win it all, down to #2 (behind the Spurs) after Curry's injury, and back to #1 after Paul's injury.

As it should be. The Warriors are one of the best teams ever and Curry should be fine by the WCF's. They should be a solid favorite in that series and then a huge favorite if they reach the Finals.

Say a healthy Curry leads GS against Clev, and the Cavs pull the upset. What does that do for LeBron's legacy, to have beaten arguably the best team ever.

I'm not an NBA guy, just curious on the thoughts. I assume LBJ is already a top 5 player all time. No? Would beating this Warriors team at full strength in a 7 game series add to his resume and maybe solidify him at #2 behind MJ. With a chance to be #1 when he retires.

Or is he just great, and beating them is great and he doesn't get greater. Some of you guys like splitting hairs when it comes to all time greats. So, what would beating this GS team mean?

Randle, LeBron has a strong top 5 case imo. If he leads the Cavs to a huge upset over a healthy Warriors team, I think that pretty much cements his top 5 case and gives him a better case to be in the top 3. I wouldn't say MJ is within reach.

The Spurs and Thunder have a harder road than anyone smd it's not close.
