Zaga did play like shit. Game was there to be won.

So did UNC, at least from behind the arc. Weird game. Horrible officiating. At least it was close the whole way through which kept it interesting.

Karnowski lost this game. He missed so many easy shots.

If Duke won that game the same way UNC did, the internet would explode about the fix being in, etc...just horrible.

The Zags lost the game for sure but the refs made it tough on them.

Also to be fair, Gonzaga got a crazy break earlier when they said UNC deflected a 3 that was just a horrible shot. Same possession, Zags bury a 3 to go up. Really really awful calls on both sides.

Another year in the books.

Thanks to Seth, Chris, and Rob for their NCAAB coverage this year starting with the preseason.

 

 

Congrats to Seth, Antoine.... can't believe how long Roy has already been with UNC.

Zags didn't play well, and they will be kicking themselves with the missed opportunities....  but I continue to really respect what they've built.

Pedro is / has been right that by playing in the WCC, it does 'inflate' things... and that their path this year wasn't overly strong... but what they've built over the last 2 decades remains impressive.  They just continue to reload, and produce...  

 

Re: UNC....  the machine wins another.  Becomes self-perpetuating for some of these blue-bloods.  You have to tip the cap.


One last thing....  wasn't a high scoring game, but the teams played with pace.  Looking at the game through MD eyes, what stood out to me is that tempo, and the general athleticism.

Of course, they did foul him. So, it was sort of a break.

It was shitty on both sides. However, the 2 calls on collins were the game changers, especially the first one.
