Todd VanDerWerff

This is when Twitter starts to think Mad Max is going to win Best Picture. Don’t get your hopes up, Twitter!

GO MAD MAX!!!!!

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

My money would be on The Danish Girl or the movie with Cate Blanchett.  Those are the obvious Oscar bait films.

The whole black actors thing is getting played out now. It deserved to be mentioned and I am glad Rock is the one doing it but enough is enough.

It will pretty much go away very soon. But this is the perfect time to address it given the controversy this winter, especially given the host.

Don Cheadle is nominated next yr for Miles Davis.  This yr may have even given him the win.  Expect Birth of A Nation to get a best pic nom also.

Michael B. Jordan probably should have been nominated. But it's hard for me to say since I haven't seen the other performances.

I really loved that movie.

I think Creed should have had a best pic nom.  It also should have had a cinematography nod too.

Sure...you address it and move on.

It's been the whole show.

I haven't seen these movies but this guy is probably the last one I would have thought would have won best supporting actor with the class he was in and with Stallone winning the GG.

And to drive it home with the voters you have to jam it down their throats.

Had the trailer for SOOC been edited this way there it would be doing very well tonight.

Pretty big upset Stallone not winning.

I'm very disappointed we didn't get an Amy Pohler cutaway when Biden walked out.
