Well that's what he asked in that hypothetical
He asked what else he has. He clearly has other positive attributes.

You guys think he was still hurt? Or just fatigued?
He apparently had some sort of elbow issue, but the knee didn't seem to limit him. The defense and the refs swallowing the whistles some had a big impact. Some of it is just missing shots, though. That doesn't mean there should be some unclutch narrative, but he mostly came up small compared to what is expected of him.

Yep.
His last line, "but it has stopped me from listening" is what I was saying about credibility last night, but he said it better. There is none, not anymore.
Good stuff.

Do you think he will be in the top 3 for MVP next season?UA should make a clean trade straight up with Adidas on Lillard or Wall. Totally worth it.

Maybe, but we are selling a brand here. He's yesterday's news now. The horrible reaction to his shoes only makes it worse

So, with Cleveland getting a title which city becomes the most miserable sports town? Minneapolis hasn't won a title since the Twins in the 90s, if memory serves, and have suffered some gut wrenching losses in the process. Arguments could also be made for Atlanta and DC.

Hmm.... Maybe a little something to this... If it's a trend, but great players have recovered from worse. I doubt a bunch of kids wearing his shoes would ditch him that quick. He's a very likable guy and super fun to watch too.Do you think he will be in the top 3 for MVP next season?Maybe, but we are selling a brand here. He's yesterday's news now. Sure, but why would we compare two players while taking away the best trait away from one of them, something he's better at than anyone ever?
The context of the conversation was LBJ vs Curry as the best player. Jones was saying, if LeBron isn't shooting well, he is getting to the line...taking it to the hoop..better defense, better rebounding.
Steph had 2 assists yesterday. He's not a bad rebounder for his size and position but still, he's not some great rebounder and he's not a good defender.
In this series, his shot wasn't there...he wasn't able to attack and get to the line either.
A guy like Westbrook can get to the hoop when he wants, which was always my argument for him.

The combo of the refs and the game plan vs him, especially when he was playing defense, were the big strikes against him.
That caused his shot to be an issue.

Curry shot 40% from 3 and hit 32 3's. That's not good for him, but it's not like his shot was non existent.
Curry is better than Westbrook. We don't need to revisit that.

Curry was better this year than Westbrook.
His 3% and 2% were both up. How often is that sustainable? When it comes in a players 26 - 27 year seasons and does it stay?
I believe he can sustain 44-45% from 3. I think the question as he ages is, can he continue to hold up the 56% on 2 pt shots and keep the volume that he had this year. If 56% from 2 looks more like 50-51% he won't look so god like.
I certainly can't predict if it'll sustain, but it certainly would take a pretty impressive run to sustain it, IMO.

Westbrook is approximately the same age and I'd be a lot more worried about how his game ages, a game predicated on elite athleticism.

Apparently Skip Bayless thinks
That'd be a first.

Think people will be asking what is wrong with James when he coasts / paces himself through the first 75% of next season again?
