So 2035 is a Lebron fan? How’s that work locally?

It's like watching First Take circa 2011. Takes me back to my college days.

Was at Greene Turtle Owings Mills.
They couldn't figure out the sound for the 1st game.
10 minutes late finding the second game.
Feels odd to me.
I wouldn't be surprised if the workers there didn't know NCAA tournament was starting today.
I was at BWW for the MD and Mich State game and they didn't have an active subscription to Big 10 Network. So we had to haul ass to GT to watch it, and it was trivia night there. FFS.
It baffles me this kind of thing happens so often. And asking bar staff to change channel to find sports is the lowest circle of hell.

Nobody GAF about the Big Ten. 99% of the alumni relate to the ACC. That’s just reality.

It's odd how often I'll be in a sports bar / restaurant in the general area and have to ask them to put an Orioles / Ravens / MD / whatever game on one of the screens. And how long it takes for someone to figure it out!
COVID truly ruined everything...

Huh?
It's a sports bar in MD they should have the channel at a sports bar, especially a big chain like GT.
ACC sucks now.

I can assure this has been a problem long before COVID.

Most casual sports fans only really care about the NFL.

I think it's a problem in that a lot of people who work at bars like BWW and GT are younger, and younger generations don't care about sports as much and don't watch much live TV. So they don't know what games are on and they don't know how to find a game using DirecTV or cable since they stream everything.
My friends and I always joke about starting a bar called Your Game Will Always Be On and the first day of training isn't about serving customers, it's learning about sports schedules, which games are on and when, and how to find them. Pouring waters and serving a burger to a four top is easy. Finding a game someone wants is damn near impossible.

Nobody who has ever worked at a bar has any idea how to work the TV. This isn't a recent problem. Employees who are experts at managing their own television and cable subscriptions at home forget everything they know when they clock in at a bar.

It's a problem that always existed but is getting worse.

This doesn’t happen in the south. Was at my local in December and asked them to put on a hockey game. Was up in 2 minutes.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Went to a Westminster bar before heading to GT for the game. They had 3 TVs, two had the same NCAA tourney game on and the third had college wrestling on. LOL.
We asked them to change it and they did. Even gave us the remote.
