How the mighty has fallen. This division may be better at the bottom than most, but it's definitely not better at the top. I believe the division has just about the worst winning % along with the NL East.

At least this is good for the O's.

It's good for us and good for baseball overall. As much as ESPN and guys like Rosenthal and Costas fawn over NYY/Boston in the ALCS the rest of the country was sick of it. KC is reaping the benefits of making the WS. Baltimore is filling it's stadium once again. It's a positive.

Exactly right...

Is it bad or everyone decent and since they are playing each other a lot, they are beating each other up?

I don't know if everyone is decent, but they are beating each other up...

I expect by the end of the season we'll know that couple of the teams are just bad with one or two showing that they're better than decent... but, hell, I don't know... it could go on like this all season... I don't think it will, but it could...

That's the most realistic outcome.

As currently constructed, I think the Os are the only team that could run away with things since they are starting to get healthy.

I am still expecting the Red Sox to make a run.

Well their combined record is worse than any division besides the NL East. That has nothing to do with beating up each other.

The East division, combined, is around 12 games under 500 vs everyone outside of the division.

Wins needed to win the AL East Over/Under: 88.5

What are you going with?

Until the Blue Jays had their annual string of injuries, the division was up for grabs for all 5 teams. Now I think it's up for grabs for all 4.

I think whoever wins it will be in the 90s. Whether they need to win 87 or 90 games, not sure.

Right now, I would probably take the under and say whoever finishes second will have 87 or less wins.

Ok. A better way to phrase it would be wins of the division winner.

So you'd be going over. I'll take the under. I don't see anyone playing great ball for the remainder of the year. None of these teams seem to have it in them. Of course I've seen crazier things happen.

I would take the under.  No really great team and I think they will all sorta beat each other up over the course of the year.

Boston took a real bad loss today.  Hopefully this helps continue their season's unraveling.
