I think Buffalo is a solid team. I picked them to beat WV and I think they'll play Maryland very tough. I think the Terps make it to the Sweet 16 but that it'll be stressful for everyone to watch with tight games in the last 5 minutes.
A lot of people think Buffalo will beat WV.
If they don't and MD wins, WV will be a tough game for MD.
They have played in a better conference, won better games and have a higher Kenpom rating.
Should be a good game if it happens.

MD could lose to Valpo, or WVU/Buffalo... but it will be disappointing if they don't get a chance to slay the giant.

I want that chance so bad. Of course, I wont complain if Hampton/Manhattan, or Cincy/Purdue knocks them out either. (Not happening)

I don't know if that Buffalo is the same school that encompasses the law school that Pedro attended, but if so, that'd be pretty interesting for him in RD3 if MD faces BLo.

Oh it's the exact same one. They are all sorts of geeked up up there about making their first trip to the dance. Make no mistake, if we end up playing them, I'll have zero "conflict of interest" as to who to root for.
Also, my sister and my brother-in-law went to WVU so that whole pod is one big Pedro party.

Nice thing about playing tomorrow vs. today is that it gives MD's players a reminder that you better be prepared to play Valpo and not be thinking ahead.
Of course Valpo has had the reminder that the 14s can play with the 3s... so all the more reason for them to believe they can play with MD.
I said the other night on Sports Tonight... probably a game with 5-6 minutes left, and then hopefully MD pulls away. I wouldn't be opposed to MD just coming out and kicking some ass right away though.

Yeah and then giving the game back over the next 25 minutes and then to pull a close one at the end, lol...
If it's the MD team that I've watched this year.
Heard an interesting analysis on the radio this morning about Valpo's bigs. Both who apparently shoot over 50% and as a team are +7 on the boards this year (though from the Horizon league). As important as it will be to defend the outside shot, making sure we body up and rebound well is going to be the key. It's the main reason that Iowa State went down yesterday, they just put the effort up on the boards. If we do that, I'll feel good about it.
