Stockton wasn't a shooter at all. And explain to me how Durant and Anthony wouldn't be HUGE defensive liabilities? I'll concede that Bird would be, but Mullin was still a pretty good defender.

Yet, he was their 3rd best outside shooter.

Durant is a good defender partly because he's possibly the longest SF ever to go along with great overall athleticism.

Anthony is a poor defender usually, but again, if the effort is there, and you would have to think it would be in this match-up, he can be solid. These two would generally be defending Pippen, who would generally be the worst offensive player on the floor for the Dream Team or they'd be guarding slower footed players in Mullin and Bird. So I don't see this being much of an issue at all.

Mullin may have been a fine defender against most guys, but I think he's even admitted that he would have a great deal of trouble matching up against James or Durant. There's a big athleticism gap there.

Man did I loathe Bobby Hurley.

Obviously I'm grown up now, and think "hating" people you don't know is silly, but damn, did I hate Bobby Hurley back then.
