I did not hear it, but the poster Ovechkin8 did.

Apparently on the Pre Game show, Duquette said, "If we're in it in July we'll be in it to win it. We're out right now taking stock of our minor league system to see what we have to offer teams."

Pretty interesting, and illuminating comments.

Really need to see the current team get healthy, and be able to evaluate then.

By this time next month, would hope to have Roberts, Markakis, and Reimold back in the lineup. Britton in the rotation, and Lindstrom in the pen.

Wow I totally forgot Lindstrom was even on the team.

Will be interesting to see what Duquette does. So far, I've been far from impressed with his trading skills. The biggest factor in continuing to contend in a month will be the starting pitching. It just has to be better.

He made possibly the best offseason deal out there, getting Hammel and Lindstrom for Guthrie.

And now I feel like an idiot. Ha! How could I forget that? I was even writing about Lindstrom!

I was wrong about the Guthrie deal and the Teagarden and Eveland trades I understood the thought process. Didn't have a stroke like SG. Still, I'm still a little uncomfortable with DD making trades. Something tells me he would make a desperation type of deal that hurts the organization long term.

There is a thread on the Minor League board (http://baltimorespor...php?f=13&t=1441), looking at ranking the O's prospects after the draft.

Looking at the system currently, what do you think the O's have to offer?

To me, if the O's were going to make a larger move, it would have to come out of a package of players probably consisting of:

Arrieta
Tillman
Schoop
Bridwell
Hoes
Avery
R. Bundy
Lino
G.Davis
Schrader
Townsend
Mahoney

Not saying there could not be others added, just think the main pieces would be out of that group above. Guess there could also be a player or two already at the Major League level.
