Everything went well. Baby and wife are healthy.
Well, on the one hand, that's good news. Congrats.
On the other hand, that's a lousy report. Do better!

I bet when he gets hungry, he'll be able to throw one hell of a tantrum

I'll bet his on-boob percentage is over 400
It's actually like 1000%.

...and he's already more qualified to run the Os compared to that garbage list of 4 candidates Connolly said.
So, you never posted any kind of actual report about this... how big is the little guy.. if you said his name, I missed it...
When they're new, they all look like Martians, but show us some pix anyway...

He was 8lbs 10oz and 20 3/4 inches long.
His name is Kevin Michael...he is named after both of our dads.
I will try to get a pic up.

Cool.
I thought maybe you'd name him something like "Stephen Kevin" or some other name that had the initials "SK"... that way, you could call him "Sports Kid"... although the problem with that is that others could call him "hot dog"
In the meantime, we can call him "SB" for "Sports Baby"...

Just promise me you won't say he's "36 months" when he's three. Drives me crazy.
This is something you do not get until you are a parent. I hated it too and was conscious of it but the first 3 years and work schedules you dont care about the pedros of the world and you go by the size of their clothes so it just rolls off the tongue. So f you pedro loved the piece Rob.

Plus, it's not just the clothes size... it's also the fact that when they're that little, they're still doing new things all the time... so, when talking about how far along they are, years are just way too imprecise a scale, it doesn't mean much... it's like talking about a ballplayer as being "somewhere in his 20's", it just doesn't tell you much of anything...
Now, once you much get past 3, I can see the point of using half-years... but until then, using years is mostly inappropriate... it's conveys not-much-info to the kid-knowledgeable, so why would you do it? Just to appease the easily-annoyed subset of those who are kid-ignorant?

A friend of mine has his first on the way. I told him parenthood is toughest but most rewarding unpaid internship you'll ever have.
As a father you try to teach your kids all the right things and at the same time, kids teach us how to dream, how to laugh in a way we didn't think possible and how to look at the world with a sense of awe and wonder.
My little ones are 6 and and almost 3 and it's still weird for me to realize that there are 2 people in the world that look at me in the same way that I look at my dad.
Happy Father's Day everyone. May there be a cold beverage, red meat grilled on an open flame and an O's win for all of us!

My late Dad taught me so much about playing baseball right, in retrospect it's amazing... he knew a helluva lot more than any of my LL coaches did...
I have no idea how he knew it to teach it to me... and of course I only realize that I have questions about that now that I can't ask him...
