What are you thankful for? Let's limit this to sports...

Camden Yards.

Isn't that the truth?

My first time in OPACY was at the '92 FanFest, a few months before it opened... my family and I snuck in.. the seats were not not yet in. We have pictures of us down by the dugouts.

At OD '92, coming out of a tunnel for the first time was pretty amazing / inspiring.

Like everyone else... countless memories from warm summer nights.

Working there (like you do now) made for a lot of great days. Even the bad days were made okay, when taking a second to look around.

In '05, I was Married in the Warehouse...

I've become much more likely to want to watch a game at home vs. want to go a game....  I made an exception in the ALDS, and went with Rob to Game 2.  Looking around, seeing all the orange, hearing the roars.... that's something you have to really experience.

Buck Showalter.

All of those years in the wilderness as an organization...  it's extremely comforting knowing having his leadership in-place.

Joe Flacco.

For the first twelve years in existence, the Ravens had 15 starting quarterbacks. For the past seven (including 2014) they've had one. And for all of the arguing on the subject, just having a quarterback where you CAN have the "elite" debate is...nice.

Plus the fact that you still really don't know when he'll have that four-pick game makes things interesting :P

I'm thankful I'm fortunate enough that sports are a main source of stress. Things could be a lot worse.

I'm thankful that DJMC keeps me relatively grounded.

I'm also thankful for RBIs.

The fans. Just came back from NOLA. Probably 20,000 Ravens fans down there the week of Thanksgiving and maybe 10-15K at the game. We have to be the best traveling small to mid market NFL team in the league. Orioles fans too. We care and overall we're not assholes to other team's fans when we do travel. I was high-fiving Ravens fans all weekend. The Saints had a banner hanging in their stadium celebrating their season sellouts which after Katrina is a big deal. However we haven't missed a sellout since 1997 and those were the only 2 games we didn't sell out. We have amazing fans and I'm glad we're not some bandwagon nation of fans. There's an overwhelming probability that when you see a Ravens or O's fan on the road they're from Baltimore one way or another and you can't say that about 99% of Steelers, Yankee, Red Sox or other nationwide fanbase teams.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I wasn't really a football fan before we had a team. Best I could do was Maryland football.

I'm thankful that a lot of the best evers in sports played in Baltimore/Maryland.

Cal, Brooks, Eddie, Earl, Johnny, Artie, Ray, Ed, Len, Gary.

Guys so good that when mentioned by first name only people know exactly who you're talking about. It's way better then being an all around fan in Seattle, Philly, Cincy, Cleveland, Denver, Miami, Tampa, Houston. Even DC although I like the Caps.

More sports channels on my TV than I can count. And the DVR....after fire and beer, it's mankind's greatest achievement.

I'll second this. It's always nice to have a real, honest-to-goodness villain to focus your hate.
