KC ahead, Detroit behind in their games.

I would consider starting McCann. He's just on fire right now.

Letting Suarez go 6 means they must not be putting him on the roster. Only 71 pitches so maybe, but seems like way too much if they had any outside expectation of him pitching any time in the next 4 days.

He could pitch Wed or Thur if necessary for an inning or two. More likely, they are lining him up to start Gm 1 in NY if the KC series goes 3 games. Def makes it possible he is left off the WC roster. Makes it more likely Povich makes it.

Gunnar's OPS gonna fall below 900 for the season. I'm a bit bummed about that. Still an amazing year. Excited to see him in his second postseason.

Second Half: OPS - McCann is .761  Rutschman is .596

Since September 1st: OPS McCann is 1.064 Rustchman is .604.

Perhaps the pitchers would rather have Adley catching them? I don't know but its hard to make an argument that Adley should be starting over McCann. Sure wanna compare career. Nod to Adley but the post season is always about who has the hot hand.

The post season is about who gets hot. Whether you were got or cold before is irrelevant.

I still trust Adley more than McCann, but it's not by a wide margin. Wish we knew more about if there was a nagging injury that is genuinely limiting him or if it's just a prolonged slump.

Has any of the press ever asked Hyde if Adley was playing hurt?

You're a dip. Also, do you think Adley Rutschman is (or has been) hurting from nagging injuries? He really hasn't seemed like himself in a couple of months.
He was asked twice at his locker recently about his health and kept saying that he’s fine. Of course, that’s what I’d expect him to say. You hear the speculation about his back or hand or some other body part. He was hitting .300/.351/.479.830 with 15 homers in 76 games before being hit on the hand on June 27, per someone here who crunched the numbers. He’s a catcher. He’s taking a beating. No one is 100 percent this time of the year. But it could be impacting him. He’s had much better at-bats lately, with that two-run single to left field vintage Rutschman. He’s taking early hitting. I saw him multiple times at Fenway Park long before batting practice. So there’s also that.

Couldn't have asked for much more to end the season. It definitely feels like we’ve got things turned around. Confidence and momentum are important.

Well ok but a guy who has been hot for a month gets my nod over a guy who has been cold for 3.   I am riding the hot hand not praying that Adley does something he hasn't in months.

Now of course come Tuesday when he is in the starting lineup I'll be pulling like hell for him!

Still amazes me how close "Vegas" can call it...just unreal.
