Speaks for itself.

Ravens and Os are cooked.

Both teams need an overhaul.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Welp, seeing as the positivity thread didn't work, no harm in trying.

My half-empty beer is warm.

You beat me to it. I was actually thinking about starting the exact same thread a few weeks ago but didn't go through with it because I figured certain people would go off the deep end and not see the humor.

I love it. God knows we all need to vent lately.

I care way more about baseball than football. It just so happens, the Ravens have been a consistently good distraction for much of my life as the Orioles were routinely among the laughing stock of the sport.

The Orioles collapse over the past couple of months has been brutal.

It's just not their year.

You can't expect a team to lose Matteo, Urias, Westburg, Mountcastle, Means, Rodriguez, Wells, Bradish, Colombe and expect them not to struggle.

Anything could happen in the playoffs but I'm not feeling it.

This isn't negative necessarily, but it's not positive at least, but there's basically zero chance this offensive cold run leads to any sudden change in the organization's philosophy for hitting, there's a lot of data from people who smarter than you or me who say that trying to hit homers is better than trying to poke singles in today's MLB even if it looks kinda ugly when it doesn't work as well as it should

It can’t be every single situation. Every pitch. That’s a bad approach. I want to see data where getting on base is a bad thing.

Yes, this.

The approach is used because the numbers accurately say this leads to more runs.

Got it.

But there game situations which call for a change in approach and it's annoying seeing those lack of adjustments.

Approaches are based on large numbers of samples. Approaches are simply that. Approaches not 100% of the time die if you don't follow it. I have never seen a team that just ignores game situations and such disregard for reality. Maybe the best data run organization in baseball but they are blind and dumb at the same time.

I like watching Adley's extreme launch angle pop outs.
