Smith and Chiles aren’t exactly new to each other, but it’ll take another offseason to stock up enough talent around them to be competitive again. But it’ll probably happen. If anyone knows how to succeed as the land grant school that sits in the shadow of the big brand flagship, it’s Jonathan Smith.
