Whole lot of pressure on Povich tonight. He spoke earlier during his first stint about still being nervous every start. Hopefully he has had enough time that the burden lessens a bit or at least that he's figured out how to deal with it. Would be huge if he spins another gem and we can wash away the grossness of last night's game.

Brown has been insanely good for a couple months now. I think he's had a couple blips, but otherwise has been fairly dominant. Hope tonight is a blip. O's need to not let this turn into a mudslide. Keep it more like a quick sand type deal until Efflin, Grayson, Westburg, etc. can pull them out of it.

It probably means nothing but this team was at its best when Gunnar as batting lead off. I understand the idea of moving him but I adhere to the if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it.

It was broke when they fixed it. Gunnar was in his worst slump of the year and Cowser was on a heater. Agree that I like Gunnar batting first the best, though. Get him an extra AB when you can. Bottom of the order gets on base enough that you aren't wasting Gunnar's power and run-producing potential.
