Os likely only on the line for 1.7 mil for Eloy. Chi is taking on 4 mil. We would obviously owe more if we pick up the '25 option but thats not going to happen.

I actually think Elias is more cheap than ownership at this point. Would hate to be a server for this front office at a restaurant haha.

I think he is being prudent. He knows he has money to spend. Not unlimted funds of money that are gonna push the luxury tax threshold. No one should ever get that idea. But he's going to be very selective with the bigger longer contracts he gives out. He cant miss on whoever he decides to spend big on

A lot more palatable to take him on for a fraction of what he's owed, was expecting to hear that Chicago was paying a good chunk.

According to Cots, the White Sox are paying an undisclosed amount of what he's still owed for 2024. Plus, the options for both 2025 and 2026 can be bought out rather inexpensively for $3 million.
