-Phillies checked in on Mullins.

- Roch says Santander would really like to stay in Baltimore.

Obviously money will always be the most important factor, but I just don't see Tony as a guy who is eager to leave Baltimore. Maybe some team comes in and offers a massive deal, maybe Baltimore just isn't very interested in bringing him back, but I don't see him trying to sign elsewhere as soon as he has the opportunity.

Lets see how the deadline plays out, but there are certainly options where you go forward with Santander. See if you can get an extension done before the end of the year. Being a switchhitter that can hit from both sides is really nice. Plus he can remain in the RF mix along with 1b/DH.

Like I have said in the other threads I think the key is to determine what you are going to do with Mayo. Once that decision is made then the rest can easily follow. In essence if you are keeping Mayo then you probably don't keep all of O'Hearn, Mountcastle, and Santander. But if you parlay Mayo for Skubal then the dynamic changes.

I wish they'd trade Mountcastle. And if they can get a good reliever from Philly for Mullins and maybe a mid-level prospect, do it.

Trading Mullins is a risky move unless you're 100% committed to Cowser as the every day CF and trusting Kjerstad in LF at OPACY is dangerous.

Mullins is still a very good fielder and has speed.  Two things you don't take lightly.  But offensively, he's a liability most nights and doesn't even draw walks to at least help the team by getting on base.  If the Phillies want him and they're willing to part with a legitimate bullpen arm in a small package, make it happen.

Unless Philly has a surplus of BP arms, I'd be surprised to see them trade one away.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

Agree, very risky. Would make more sense if they're going big with the White Sox and have Robert coming back.

Not hitting much better than Mullins.  O's could go for a rental in a minor deal to back up Cowser.
