Let's close out the "revenge series" with a sweep of our own.

We've been better this series but we still need to improve our RISP numbers.

It would be nice to get the good Kremer today and finish off the sweep, but you never know with him.  You more or less have to expect the worst and if you get a good outing, be grateful.

Don't see why you'd expect the worst. Kremer is just ok overall, and has bad starts on occasion, but he has good starts more often than he has those bad starts.

4 of 12 starts he's allowed more than 3 runs. 6 of 12 he's allowed less than 2.

Well, he does have a 2.73 ERA on the road, so I guess that's one encouraging thing to hang on to.

I don't get the Kremer hate. More times than not he keeps us in the game. He's probably closer to a 4 than a 3 but in that role I think he's perfectly fine.

I think this is spot on and it's also why I so want one guy better to add to the rotation. He's my #4 ...dont want him starting game 3 if I don't have to.

Kremer is very lucky to even have an ERA+ of 86. Which isn't good. His xERA is 5.36 which is in the bottom 7% of baseball. He really is bad.

It's not his fault that we lost 2 or 3 starters that were supposed to be better than him. If he keeps us in the game he's done his job as a backend guy.

But Irvin's xERA is in the bottom 2%. Povich has had a tough time integrating into MLB. So he's probably the default #5 by default unless we add 2 SPs at the deadline

Gunnar will get 2 days off with the off day tomorrow. I like it. I think he's wearing down a bit. Especially, with all the AS activities

Not sure of your point? Of course it's not his fault our rotation got hit hard by injuries. Nor did I even hint at anything like that. I merely stated that l much prefer to add somebody better than him. If you are ok going to to October with him as the #3 so be it.

Agreed. I think prepping for the Derby was a thing too. The repetition and speed swinging conditioning. Kid needs to catch his breath.
