This matchup worked out well for us the last time.
Cole's had two bad starts and one good start since the last time we faced him.

Cole can be hit. Povich needs to come out strong and not totally implode like he did in Oakland.

Povich only ever had one laughably terrible start in the minors, and he followed it up with a nice recovery outing. Probably meaningless, but some encouragement to think that he can shake off whatever evil possessed him on Saturday.

I think Cade will be solid tonight. Navigate safely around Soto and Judge and the Yankees lineup isn't impressive at all. Even Judge has been slumping.

I wish you hadn't said that.
With that said, the offense absolutely must do better. It's not all on Povich.

My comment above is based on two factors.
1. The Yankees are second in baseball in home runs and walks.
2. Povich is a walk and home run machine.
Bad combo.

Povich walked 5 against the Yankees last time. But only 1 hit allowed.

Reminded me of a game I went to years ago. IIRC somewhere around 1968 at Memorial Stadium. O's pitchers combined for I think a one hitter but they gave up 10 walks. They actually won that game too I believe.
In any event IF Cade can find some modicum of control tonight that would be nice.

At least they're catching the Yankees at a good time. Then again, the Yankees fans probably feel the same way about the Orioles.

Probably our best lineup right now. Toss up between Mullins and Cowser for CF - both equally rough offensively at the moment.

Horrible ABs by O'Hearn and especially Westburg. Got Cole somewhat on the ropes and just in hack mode.
