Tonight will begin (presumably) the final time the Orioles play in Oakland so I figured this was worth a post. They've never shared a division with the A's so there's obviously not a huge sample of games to choose from but I'll always be fond of Chris Davis' 2015 grand slam

'89, Olson gets the side.

Great idea for a thread. But I honestly can't think of a favorite, memorable moment.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

It is an Orioles specific one, but the win streak is the clearest memory I have of anything Oakland related.

I got a deep cut for you guys. The A's hit Cal in a game sometime in the mid 90s. Cal was pissed and thought Steinbach had something to do with it. Cal later got in scoring position and scored either on a hit or a sac fly and absolutely flattened Steinbach at the plate. I remember watching the game live. Ive looked for video of it on youtube but I cant find it. I heard Billy talked about it  and he acknowledged how Cal was pissed and gave Steinbach some extra love on the play at the plate.

Let's put 3 touchdowns on the board today and leave on that memory.

Good riddance to that dump

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

The Olson game in 1989 for sure.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

'91 no-hitter is the only moment that stands out to me. If we're talking Baltimore and not Orioles-specific, then obviously the Ravens clinching their first SB trip will always be #1 for that stadium.

Didn't have much time to watch the series over the weekend, but I know Palmer was working it. Did he share any memories? I'm sure he must have some of going against the great mid-70's A's teams.

They talked about Palmer going 0-3 with a walk against Rollie Fingers. Brown kept mentioning it and Palmer didn't seem too thrilled about it.

Brown did give some interesting info about the franchise until baseball happened.

I feel awful for Oakland fans. They had a great franchise with storied history in the A's (and the Raiders) and lost them both within 5 years.

Not to mention the Warriors…..even though they only went across the bay, for an Oaklander that probably stings just as bad (and with traffic probably feels as far away as Vegas).

Baltimore has lost three professional baseball teams and twice lost the Colts. Oakland isn't the only city that's been jilted by various sports franchises.

Over a hundred years ago.

The Ravens have been here longer than the Colts were.

But losing teams sucks for anyone who is invested in them.

Not to nitpick, but the Ravens have been here for 28 years. If you count the AAFC years and their inaugural 1950 season in the NFL, the Colts were here 34 years.
