I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Yup. Won't know if it's TJS or not I guess until they examine the extent of the damage. Maybe could opt for the internal brace.

Means Orioles and possibly career are effectively over.

Pitching is suddenly looking rather thin going forward.

Burnes is a FA. Rodriguez and Bradish are obviously key pieces, but even Bradish you have to hold your breath that his elbow doesn't implode. Kremer isn't much more than a solid 4/5 and even he's dealing with arm issues.

Very disappointing, but I'm not too surprised in either case.

Brutal. SP is now on the shopping list for the deadline. Don't think we have to get a stud, though it's be nice, but a reliable guy will help a lot during the regular season.

Hopefully Houston sells and they make a run at Verlander

So we need a solid starter, at least one if not 2 high lev bullpen arms, and perhaps a RH bat. Good thing we have all that depth. Maybe we can use somebody like Povich to fill RP role. Trade deadline looking more interesting all the time.

Certainly not surprised with Means.  I feel bad for the guy because if it turns out he gets Tommy John again, the odds of coming back to any semblance of the kind of pitcher he was when healthy is not good.  Around 33%.  Like any athlete that's injury prone, Means just seems to have one of those arms that breaks down easily.  He has the talent to be elite but the durability of someone who's out of baseball in a few years.  It's sad.  Wells has an extensive injury past too, along with Tommy John on his resume.  It's very possible we've seen the last of both of them in an Orioles uniform.

Cade Povich will be up soon. But agree, add a mid to backend starter to the trade deadline wish list.

Could bring back a Gibson if St Louis sells but Verlander could be a real threat in Oct

You have Burnes, Bradish, Rodriguez, Irvin, and Kremer.

As is, you are fine.

Unfortunately, there figures to be another injury at some point.

The caliber of starter you need is dependent on who you lose.

Things get more problematic if Irvin or Kremer have to be replaced due to non-performance.

Feel bad for both. Both are going through this a 2nd time which just isnt good for future prospects. In particular, it appears Means was never comfortable or right after his surgery

I was all about this before the season but his velocity and stuff is down and has already missed time this season with a sore elbow. I’m not as on board at full price.

It shouldn't cost full freight considering his issues this year.

Velo seems to be back after his IL stint. He had pitched much better.

The price is sure to be astronomical, but they should check in on Skubal.
