Looks like the Red Sox are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 2004 curse-breaking team, and tons of players from that team are going to be back.

The Red Sox will have all the momentum and the emotional edge with it being their home opener and celebrating the 2004 team.

They can call up Holliday as early as Saturday and still get a 7th year of service time (assuming he doesn't finish top 2 in ROY voting).

I liked your post then unliked it just so I could like it a 2nd time.

I wouldn't have a problem if they called up Mayo instead of Holliday. Kemp will have filled his purpose. To get us to the potential extra year of service time. Once that is reached there is zero reason to not bring up somebody else and let him go.
Frankly, if I were in charge I'd be calling up Holliday and either Mayo or Kjerstad and dropping Kemp and Urias or Mateo.

Still very weak contact. It's like a line-up of punch and Judy hitters.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I would be fine if the O's cut ties with Kemp, Urias, and Hays
I want to see these prospects

So Mullins works the count and gets a walk then steals second.
Cowser works the count and hits a double.
Then Urias has to pop out on the first pitch he sees. Joke.

It's like they can't help themselves. Someone needs to remind these guys that there isn't a time clock.

Kemp whiffs on one down the middle.
Gunnar weak ground out to 2b.
Adley weak ground out to SS.
What a funk these guys are in. Or else every pitcher we are facing are Cy reincarnated. LOL
