They haven't won anything yet. Anything that matters anyway. 

We're going to find out in about 2-3 months if they should have done more.

The problem with this line of thinking is that the O's pitching staff, outside the upside of Grayson Rodriguez, and the hope of a sustained few years of elite level of play out of Bautista, really doesn't resemble a group of arms that can take a team deep into October. 

Elias has to reconcile that reality with trying to retain his core of young talent. 

In other words, you know, he's got to actually manage the direction of this franchise. 

They haven't put much emphasis on pitching in the minor leagues, aside from trading for Povich, Johnson, and McDermott. Rodriguez was inherited and Hall is barely a prospect at this point.
Definitely need to find pitching somewhere.

That was always my belief...draft and develop hitters and go get reliable starting pitchers with a track record via free agency or trades. This organization has been abysmal developing pitchers.

Which I'm totally fine with, but at some point you need to try harder than Jordan Lyles/ Kyle Gibson.
