A thread where we can post all the new sports uniforms that teams are wearing.

It's that time of the year where college teams are doing their one-offs...

Love this by Navy. All-whites and each player's uniform will be different depending on their rank.

Yes, very cool. Under Armour is taking unis to the next level.

Maryland wore these White versions of their "Pride 2.0" jerseys in their Fall Scrimmage. Not sure if these are the new defaults or not, we'll have to wait and see. The white and black pants are all-new as well. Obviously the helmets would be more than plain white if and when they wore these combinations this season.

They look great. Still can't get behind commercialized patriotism.

Not a fan of the "Triumph" and meh on the anthem lettering, but I like the overall look and Ft McHenry outline

If I knew that they were entirely one-off uniforms that would never see the light of day commercially and weren't part of a continued effort by the suppliers of college football programs--with Maryland right out in front--to eliminate the meaning of the word "uniform", I might think they were OK.

I love these things. The red belts are also only for the captains, just like the captains in the War of 1812. Cool touch.

I love them too. Alternate unis are the greatest, especially ones that seem to have been thought out down to the last detail like this.

I mentioned the Maryland portion in another thread, but Paul Lukas got some very interesting insider info on both uniforms in general and upcoming trends from a buyer for a national sporting-goods chain.

I'm happy to see the toning-down of the pink (the NFL was going to get--sorry--hit hard for that this year after all of the domestic violence problems. Not excited to see a doubling-down on camo, though.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I love Lukas' UniWatch blog. I was under the impression that players got to pick and choose which pink stuff they wore, which would make it harder for the league to unilaterally tone it down. Interesting decision on taking it out of nationally televised games too.

This has nothing to do with the recent domestic violence issues that have been in the news

Odd agenda item at NFL meetings: Proposal to require Nike-designed alternate uniforms for Thurs night games starting in '16.

Yet another money grab. But I mean, how dumb would the Packers look in some modernized Nike designed swag? The Bears amd Browns too. (Even though the Browns unis are stupid, its tradition).

If they really wanted to make money without making every team have an abomination of a uniform like the Bucs, here's an original concept...."Throwback Thursday's". Everyone loves throwbacks. Some teams are subtle like the Ravens with the different font and helmet logo, others are more extreme like the Patriots, Titans, Bucs, Broncos.

Great idea. They could do throwback unis for all teams, even new ones. They did it for the Rays and it was cool. I'd like to see what the Ravens throwback would look like.

The interesting thing--and part of why there are fewer throwback games recently--is that part of the NFL's concussion-prevention rules involve very, very specific rules on helmets. To the point where teams can neither use one-off helmets nor repaint their current helmets multiple times (other than basic touch-ups).

I guess that wouldn't affect Nike much, because they only do the actual jerseys and pants. But it's why you couldn't see real throwbacks under current rules.
