He is excellent with mechanics.

2 biggest issues for the orioles young pitching over the years?

1) Mechanics
2) Fastball command

That must be improved or this organization is going no where.

I would hire him and get rid of Adair personally.

I really hope we hire him. I think hes just what this organization needs and would prove to me that DD is serious about improving this system from the bottom up.

Buried in this ( http://www.csnbaltim...078&feedID=6704) CSN Baltimore story on Cespedes, is news that the Peterson hire has become official.

It will be interesting to hear some of the immediate impact that Peterson brings. I'm also interested to hear how Peterson, Adair, and Griffin are working together.

I'm really looking forward to hearing some of the info from Spring Training. Hoping that he does an interview with Roch, Britt or one of the Sun reporters and talks about everything - who he feels can benefit from his program and why. Hopefully we'll see some marked improvement this year because of Peterson.

I know they're one a schedule to have all the pitchers go through the analysis within the next 2-3 days, with results coming in approximately 10 days later.

I love Peterson. Got to talk with him twice last year, once before Moneyball came out and later to talk Brewers and playoffs.

He talks about the lab and is really proud of the work he's' done with Zito and Axford especially. Now that he's actually on the team he's probably forbidden from talking to me again, but I'm already sold so whatever.

It'll be interestiung to see if he can fix the mysterious velocity issues that an alarming number of O's seemed to have last year.

Hey Thyrl, good to see you posting.

If you those interviews are saved in the audio vault somewhere, post the links if you get the chance. Would be a great listen.

Guessing that's the logical step if the pitchers don't make improvement. I'm willing to give Adair a somewhat new start with a new season.

MASN / Melewski: Peterson pitching mantra 'Work down, quick outs.'

Part 2: http://www.masnsport...tch-counts.html

A couple of good pieces from Melewski here, and exceptional info from Peterson. Clearly a great addition to the organization.
