Man I almost forgot how crazy the ACC is gonna be this season. I see North Carolina having another great year and making a tournament run. I'm surprised they have the Irish last in their conference outlook; maybe due to adjusting to such a murderous schedule?

The new Big 10 conference could be pretty interesting next year as well, pending Hopkins actually getting back on track, particularly that stagnant offense. But after all, that's a year away.

Lookin forward to some lacrosse starting up soon.

Terps improve to 3-0 with a 16-8 butt whoopin' on  #1 Syracuse.

If the Terps are in position to win on Monday, can we get a "just like lacrosse" chant started? Doesn't quite have the same ring to it as "just like football."

Ugh, that Syracuse loss still pisses me off.

#2 MD beats #1 Duke 10-6... Maryland will be #1 next week.

I love the Lacrosse Final 4... one of my favorite events to watch this year. Hopefully MD is finally ready to take the next step.

ACC is a total gauntlet, teams are just beating the hell out of each other, and games are so unpredictable.

I'd say Duke and Maryland are the leaders in the ACC right now. But Duke's midfield is just unstoppable.

Only is going to last one season and I say this not really following the sport, but isn't this the best year for a conference in the history of lax between Cuse entering the ACC/UMD exiting after this one?

It's gotta be up there. I mean literally every team in the conference started as legitimate tournament contenders.

As of the beginning of the day, Maryland, Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia, and Syracuse were all in the top 10, that's the entire conference; Maryland, Duke, and North Carolina are top 5.

Granted, it's a small conference, and the Irish will drop out of the top 10 after getting lit up by Duke today, and if the Tar Heels beat Virginia then they'll drop too, but it's a crazy murderous conference schedule.

It will be interesting to see if MD and Hopkins can raise the bar for the rest of the B1G lacrosse programs.

Ohio State has a pretty good program as well, as does Penn State, so it should be solid.

Wish I could've seen the UNC-Cuse game today. Sounds like it was one for the ages, and the ACC continues to be a gauntlet.

Maryland just took the ACC title in a 10-8 win over Notre Dame. The two teams will meet again in the first round of the ACC tournament next week.

In the one and only year that the ACC will look like this, possibly the toughest conference in lacrosse history, Maryland stands at the top. They look like the most complete team in the game right now.

Notre Dame, on the other hand, will now have to win out in the ACC tourney to get into the NCAAs.

The Duke-Cuse game was an instant classic last night with one of the greatest finishes you'll ever see. Syracuse scores two goals in 15 seconds, the game-winner as time expired. Both goals were exquisite, and one, if not both, will appear on the sportscenter top 10.

Notre Dame got a much needed win over Maryland, possibly securing their spot in the NCAA tourney; a win over Syracuse in the ACC champ game Sunday would make it a sure thing.

So what does this all mean?

1) If every NCAA tournament game plays like those two games, it's gonna be one hell of an entertaining postseason.

and

2) We very well could see all 6 ACC teams make the NCAA tournament. It's saying something when a team that doesn't even make the ACC tournament is easily one of the top 10 in the country, maybe top 5.

The ACC tourney games were all excellent.  The games highlighted all the great things about the sport while also showing how poor coaching can cost you in close games....see Danowski in SF vs. Syracuse and Tillman in SF vs. Notre Dame.

We could easily see 3 ACC teams in the final 4.

Towson goes down in the CAA semi-finals to Drexel in OT 11-10.

No NCAAs for the Tigers this year.
