I thought we had a thread on this, but couldn't find it in a search. So I figured I would start one.

I just discovered a new podcast: Hardcore History. It is essentially a guy who talks for the entire time on a particular subject. For example, I'm going through earlier episodes which form a six-part series on the "Death Throes of the Roman Republic". It adds up to about eight hours on the 80 years leading up to Caesar's death and the beginning of the Empire.

I'm seriously geeking out over it.

Just posted in the Anti-Rants thread... but Harmontown by the creator of Community is seriously epic. Very entertaining.

I like this podcast a lot but the episodes are so long that I only really listen to it on long drives.

I'll second that. Cracked is pretty good too.

I usually listen to fantasy sports related podcasts. I work as a pharmacy technician part time on the weekeds in a factory doing 10 hour shifts so I have a lot of time on my hand to listen. Definitely going to give some of the podcasts mentioned in here a shot.

I usually listen to Fantasy Focus Football (not the greatest analysis but somewhat entertaining), CBS Fantasy Baseball (Nando is hilarious and Melchior is great with stats), The Adam Carolla Show (they talk about the same stuff everyday and it gets boring a lot but if the guest is good it's usually a good episode), Footballguys.com The Audible (Solid fantasy football advice and real football talk), FantasyGuru matchup podcast (love Greg Cosell), and Pyromaniacs (three dudes just talking fantasy football like you're listening to three friends talk).

I still subscribe to Carolla, even though I only end up listening once a week or so. I also like his show with Dr. Drew; makes up for the fact that I never saw or heard Loveline :P

I also listen to a few TV podcasts: Firewall and Iceberg, Talking TV with Ryan and Ryan, TV On The Internet.

He gets super annoying a lot of the time. I usually listen to him once I'm done with everything else so sometimes it's only one or two episodes.

Firewall and Iceberg is good. Stopped listening to Talking TV, more out of time constraints than anything else.

Not a history buff by any imagination, but I like it and wish I knew more. This guy is fantastic to listen to.

I found another history podcast over the summer: Revolutions. Right now, he's on his third series, on the French Revolution, after series on the English and American Revolutions. It's a weekly show, with episodes usually right around a half-hour.

And if you like it, he previously did a whole series on the history of Rome, called, creatively enough, The History of Rome. Same format, but 179 official episodes (and since several were multi-parters, close to 200 total.

Helped me get through the summer when Dan decided to spend four months on the latest Hardcore History :P

Serial. Seriously, everyone should check this out. Like an audio true crime documentary, set in Baltimore.
